Building your email list is the most important asset for any internet business. To help increase it's value even more, here's how you can profit from these 5 simple list building tips, by making sure you're getting the most subscribers you can.
1 - Make Sure Your Sign Up Incentive Is Irresistable
Most importantly, your sign up incentive has to be something of value that visitors can immediately recognise as useful to them.
It must be targeted to your market and relevant to your website, niche and products. That way, it's an example of what they can expect to be paying for later and demonstrates the value of your products.
Offering something you've created yourself, like an ebook or a mini course or limited access to a useful sample of your main product, will always be will be perceived as of much greater value than offering a copy of something that's on hundreds of other sites as well.
To increase the visibility of your offer, make reference to it where you can in your site copy pointing out all the relevant benefits of signing up and getting a copy,
Make your offer seem a unique resource, which is indispensible. The more you can get that aspect across, the more signups you'll get.
2 - Use Audio Interviews As Freebies
Audio interviews are easy to create and form a great incentive for people to sign up to your list. But, why not publish them regularly to your newsletter list, as well.
Many people prefer information as audios rather than text and, if they know that they'll regularly receive something interesting to listen to, in addition to your written newsletter, they'll be more inclined to sign up.
You can find experts in your niche to interview, from article directories. Note the relevant top rated articles with websites and then contact the authors and ask if they'd give you a phone interview.
Remember that this is also free publicity for the authors, so you'll usually find them very willing to assist.
3 - Get Your Ebooks Out To Other People's Lists
To increase the opportunity to get more subscribers to your list, it's worth giving away one of your products. What I mean here is offering an ebook product of yours, to other relevant sites in your niche, so that they can sell it and keep any profit.
Now, at first sight, that may seem odd, but it is a big incentive for other site owners to take your work and market it to their own list. At the same time, it gives more exposure to your site and brings more subscribers to your email list.
Make sure that your ebook has references and links to your website, then find a group of publishers in your market, and offer them the ebook and a sales letter they can use straight away on their website.
And, as an added bonus, when you've a list of willing publishers, go back and offer them a collection of the audio mp3 interviews that we discussed above.
4 - Add More Email Optin Boxes To Your Website
Simple, but often overlooked, have an email optin form on every page of your site. If it's just on the home page, as people navigate through your site, they'll probably not see you email optin again.
You can put an email optin box or pop up just about anywhere on your website. You can include email optin forms at the beginning, middle, or end of an article, or put it in the main site template.,
As long as your website is full of good content and your offer is enticing, people will always be willing to sign up to your email subscriber list.
5 - Use Your Newsletter Archives As An Incentive
Another simple tip is to archive your newsletters and put them on your website with public access.
Athough this may seem to defeat the object of having people sign up to your list to receive your newsletter, it actually works as an incentive, because they don't want to wait for the archive copies to appear.
So, make sure your newsletters are always full of interesting and valuable articles, then, put them on your website after a month or more so that people can see their value. If they find your articles are worthwhile, they'll subscribe to your email list to get them sent directly they're published.
